We now have over 2000 Loom and 1500 WOTM members on the rolls. I think the most encouraging thing is that the new members are signing up their friends. The lodge needs diversity to survive; we need members of all ages. Each month Tommy McCorkle calls every member in arrears and encourages them to pay their dues. Thirty eight dollars of your dues goes to support Mooseheart & Moosehaven. As we close out the Moose year April 30th, 2017 we need every members to pay their dues as early as possible so we can close out the year with a positive in membership. FIRST RESPONDERS PROGRAM: Moose International is offering one year free membership to all first responders as a thank you for their service. If you know of anyone please invite them to join and take part in our programs to protect children & seniors in our twin cities, Mooseheart & Moosehaven 08/14/2016 Seating at the Lodge Seating at the Lodge Sunday, August 14, 2016 Please remember this is our Moose Lodge. Seating is first come, first serve. No one may save a seat (unless the member is out for a short smoke break) or a table. Please be courteous to all. 05/06/2015 CORNER POCKDET CORNER POCKDET Wednesday, May 6, 2015 Greetings from the Corner Pocket. Our cool pool tournaments continue on Monday, 8-ball, and Thursday, 9-ball, with sign up at 7 pm and play starting at 7:30. Due to the expanding number of players on any given night, only the first 20 players signed up will be able to play. Fraternally yours, Don Buckeye” Bidinger, Chairman More News Thursday, July 30, 2015 from Moose International Go to MooseRewards.org to redeem your points! Administrator ’s Message click here It is hard to believe the Holidays are almost here. The Lodge will be very busy during the months of November and December. Please check the calendars in the newsletter for the dates on upcoming events and there will be flyers posted around the Lodge. Our Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet will be November 23rd and the Lodge Christmas Party on December 23rd. The Special Needs Children’s Christmas Party is on December 13th and the Lodge Children’s party is December 16th. We need volunteers to help with both of those parties. New Year’s Eve tickets go on sale Saturday November 18th at noon, the price is $35.00 per person. Radio Flyer will provide the entertainment. Please note this is for members and their guest only. There has been a problem over the past few months with members being very rude to the staff on our busy nights. One server resigned because of the rudeness. Everyone cannot be served all at once and it does take time to prepare the meals. We have great servers, kitchen staff and bartenders and they work very hard for you. Members, we must be patient on our busy nights and yes when 150 members come in within a short period of time, there will be a backlog of orders in the kitchen and you will wait up to an hour or so for your meal. It’s not the servers’ fault, not the kitchens fault that your meal is not served in a few minutes. It’s because everyone comes in at once. So please be patient. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. Fraternally, Frank Governor ’s Message click here Dear Moose Members, I just returned from the SCMA 64th Year-end 2016-2017 conference. The meetings I attended provided some new and enlightening information that could have an impact on our Lodge. One is Section 51.5 of the General Laws that, in short, without lack of representation at all Association Conventions, Mid-Year Conferences and District Meetings could result in our Social Quarters being closed. Full information regarding this law will be read at the next Lodge meeting. Also, the Valued Veterans Program will be discussed in further details. I would like to thank all the Officers, Chairmen and members who took the time out of their busy lives to help and attend the conference. To say the least, Surfside Beach Lodge #2351 was very well represented. Our Lodge won a variety of awards and they will be announced at a later date. I want to congratulate Frank Rendulic , our Administrator on his election to being the SC State Prelate and to David Mac” McLellan to his appoint to International Moose Legion Ambassador. I had the opportunity to attend the WOTM Green Cap Conferral. I was very impressed with how the Conferral Staff conducted the ceremony, and how they presented their three Candidates with their Green Caps. I would like to thank Tom Brown for setting up the Blood Drive and for the Children’s ID program at St Michaels...
